Alyssa Hoyt

Licensed Master Social Worker
Long Island, NY | In-Person and Virtual Therapy

Client-centered therapist who believes that meaningful therapy starts with meeting clients exactly where they are. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, with a focus on creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.

I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), incorporating trauma-informed and trauma-focused approaches based on each client’s unique needs. I have experience working with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, complex PTSD (C-PTSD), and severe mental illness.

I view therapy as a collaborative process and work alongside clients to better understand their experiences, develop practical coping skills, process difficult experiences, and build greater self-awareness and resilience. My goal is to help each client feel supported while also developing the tools they need to create meaningful and lasting change.
